The area we drive through from Reykjavík along the Reykjanes peninsula to the volcano site. We often make an extra stop at a hot spring to view the mud pots.
Stop At: Fagradalsfjall Active Volcano, Efstahraun, Grindavik Iceland
You are going to hike up a hill to view the volcano at quite a close distance. You will also be able to walk around the valley of Nátthagi, and hunt for hot rocks.
